Annie Sloan developed her now famous Chalk Paint® over 20 years ago when there was no paint available with the properties she was looking for. She chose the name “Chalk Paint” because it was suggestive of its very matt-almost chalky-finish {there is no chalk added to this paint}. Chalk Paint® has many uses from acting like lime wash to looking like old painted furniture and has a great range of color that can be extended by the user. This paint is very easy to work with and allows people to be creative as one doesn’t get tangled in the technicalities of preparation. The versatility of Chalk Paint® also allows you to change your mind without hassle!

Ease of Use:

  • No need to prime or sand

  • Very little black is used so the colors can be mixed in any combination
